Recent Projects

Weiser Consulting® has worked on – and been an integral part of – a range of business process and IT projects within both government and private sectors, where our expertise has ensured our clients get what they need, when they need it, and for the right price. Here are just some of our recent projects.

Report on leadership and diversity
Provided report on leadership and diversity in the Office of the Chief Information Officer. This project was part of the Women in the Office of the CIO initiative, addressing strategic plans to support, develop and advance women in the Office. (Office of the Chief Information Officer, 2011).

Succession planning review
U
sed a structured approach to analyse the capabilities and resources available to the organisation to provide advice on management succession planning. (Brecknock Insurance Brokers, 2011).

IT Strategic Planning workshops
Workshop provision for new clients, providing advice on strategic direction and IT systems and infrastructure to support the organisation reach their intended goals. (Bean Crunchers, Elite Plumbing Services, Sign*A*Rama, 2011).

Requirements analysis and business case development
Worked with the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research (NCVER) to develop a sound business case for the Commonwealth government unique student identifier system.  High level analysis of business
requirements included consultation with internal NCVER stakeholders and external organisations in the vocational education sector (subcontracted – 3 Pillars Asia Pacific, 2011).

Project management and vendor liaison
Provided project management and liaison with vendor to implement integrated incident reporting system. A strategic project to introduce use of online reporting throughout the Department, facilitating timely provision of information to those responsible for incident investigation and resolution (Department for Families and Communities, 2010).

Functional system design
Analysis of functional requirements and design of web pages and report layouts for case management system (Housing SA, 2010).

Business process mapping
Worked with the Department of Environment and Heritage to create business process map diagrams for incident reporting, site rationalisation and annual provisions (subcontracted – Purvis Consulting, 2009).

Performance review and process mapping
Performance review of current processes and procedures, particularly as regards to use of standard letters and consistent communication to clients. Review of adherence to and consistent use of branding. Gap analysis comparing current performance to optimal processes and best use of current IT infrastructure, systems and databases (Brecknock Insurance Brokers, 2009 – 2010).

Process review and performance analysis
Business process mapping of current administrative processes. Performance review of administrative processes and systems (TAFE English Language Services, 2009).

Business process analysis
Created business process diagrams and supporting documentation, to assist an asset services team with their implementation of contract management software (Housing SA, 2009).

Strategic business analysis workshops
Strategic planning workshop for private clients, providing advice and education, following the Weiser Consulting® strategic analysis methodology (Family Time Fun, Seafert, 2009).

Strategic business analysis
Reviewed the strategic plan and growth targets of The Tennyson Group in light of the global financial crisis and resulting economic downturn in South Australia (University of Adelaide, 2009).

Response assessment for Request for Information
Analysis and assessment of responses to a Request for Information provided by Housing SA to software vendors.  Assessment included analysis of proposed solutions for fit against requirements of business capabilities and financial analysis of proposed cost models (Housing SA, 2009).

Enterprise Architecture analysis and modelling
Worked with staff of all areas of the organisation to determine strategic business capabilities. Models created for enterprise architecture framework, business model, stakeholder model, information model, program-service-process model and high level business process models (Housing SA, 2009).

Business case development, system integration projects
Developed multiple business cases for projects seeking to integrate various systems of Housing SA. Included high level business analysis of current systems and future needs for the Office for Community Housing, Office for Aboriginal Housing, corporate finance and asset management divisions (Housing SA, 2008).

Analysis of system and process requirements
Analysis of business requirements to support proposed legislative changes in SA. Included facilitation of workshops and consultation with external stakeholders. Requirements were analysed for a new area of business the organisation was preparing to be involved in (SA Police, 2008).

Business case development for new system
Development of business case for new system supporting current business processes and integrating information from existing legacy systems. Analysis for this project included broad consultation, facilitating input from staff in multiple locations throughout SA. Project included gathering business requirements, design of potential solutions, cost benefit analysis of options and preparation of a phased implementation plan (SA Police, 2007).
